This incredibly vibrant photo of the Astoria-Megler Bridge is another one of my very favorites! I had planned for this shot for some time, so I went out on a clear summer evening and starting photographing. But then suddenly I realized there was a ship approaching from up river. I knew immediately that I wanted a long exposure as the ship passed beneath the bridge, but I had absolutely no idea how long it would take for the ship to pass completely through the frame! So I very quickly calculated for a 90 second exposure and hoped for the best knowing I had only 1 chance to get this one and I nailed it!
