Working through A few challenges lately
Some of you may have noticed I haven’t been posting as many new images lately, I haven’t been because we’ve just been working through some challenges of late. Jillian’s Father passed away recently, and her Mother isn’t doing well. Our little Papillon dog is now 18 years old and is requiring 24/7 care. Jillian has an “abnormality” that requires a biopsy, so we will be driving to Eugene next week for that. Once we work through these things we will be getting back out for some fun, and I will be able to get out for some hiking with my camera.
We have also decided to significantly cut back on our volunteering with Oregon State Parks for several reasons. One is the price of diesel, a 30,000 pound motor home does not get good mileage! Also we are getting older and who knows how much time we may have left. We very much enjoy volunteering with Oregon State Parks, but we want to spend a little less time cleaning yurts and campsites and spend more time playing, creating art and photography, traveling, (by car, not the motorhome). Also as I’m getting older and having a few health issues of my own I don’t know how much longer I can safely drive our large motor home.
After much consideration we have chosen Bandon by the Sea to settle down a bit and call home. We have secured a nice campsite there just a couple blocks from the ocean, and if it all works out and we like it plan on settling here long term. We’ll still travel some in the motorhome during the summer, we plan on continuing our volunteering here at Tseriadun and Arizona Beach because we absolutely love it here. We leave Tseriadun June 1st for Bandon where we will be at least through the summer. We have plans to travel to Silver Falls for three months this fall and then return to Bandon for the winter, but we may end up cancelling our trip and staying in Bandon until next summer, we shall see. But like a said we will still be getting out and having fun but via my trusty old Toyota truck or by plane. Jillian wants to take me to Hawaii and Alaska, the only two states I have never been. but we’ll see, I absolutely hate flying!
